What's A Family To Do?

So, it's 8am and you're dressed for the day.
You're house is relatively clean.
You're awaiting your Social Worker's arrival at 9am.
What's a family to do?
To keep from turning into a ball of nerves
you bust out your best plan.
Biscuits and the family edition of Connect Four.
The biscuits are yum.
The kids are contained.
And you laugh.
Oh yes, exactly what your soul needed.
Loving laughter. :)

The boys have both been interviewed.
They were interviewed together.
Jennifer said they were very polite.
I haven't probed Joseph for the full scoop yet,
but apparently James mentioned that he tore his pants yesterday.
Jennifer said he was very upset about it.
Poor kid, he fell of his bike and tore the knee of his new pants.
But really, they were only play pants.

I've completed my interview.
Our interviews took place at the kitchen table.
The boys patiently waited in my bedroom with Andy.
Joseph and Andy on laptops and James playing his DS.
They said I took too long.
Hello, this is big! :)

Now Andy is mid-interview.
I'm on the bed blogging.
The boys are playing in the backyard.

Once Andy has completed his part then we'll meet back together.
Jennifer said we'll discuss the next steps.

W-h-e-w.
Almost finished with yet another step.
PRAISE YOU LORD,
all GLORY is YOURS!

I'll update again after we're all through.
God's blessings, Sarah :D

I found you blog tonight. Your family is adorable and I pray your daughter is home soon. Both my children have been brought to me through the miracle of adoption.

God Bless.

Oh, Sarah! I love reading about your journey! Someday you'll look back on the homestudy process and remember it as being "the easy part" of the adoption! lol Especially once your daughter is home. You'll reflect on this time and laugh.
I wanted to update you, too. We got the call today and found out our check came back clear! I can not wait to get started! Praise the Lord, indeed!

Sarah,
I wanted to stop by your blog tonight to say Hi and thank you for your kind words on my blog. I took the time to read through your entire blog and I am also a follower now. I can relate to you in so many ways. When my husband and I first started the adoption of our miracle Halainah we did not have a cent financially. We wondered how on earth we would be able to afford it. But one thing we knew for sure was that this was God's plan. And he would provide. And I am still amazed to this day that he somehow provided $32,000. Only our Lord above could pull a miracle that large. Also Halainah is from the SN program. We switched when we found our that we could possibly be waiting 8 years...yikes. But again, it was God's plan. Every step of the way there was a sign that we were wrapped in his care. We started our second adoption recently with again nothing financially and we are praying that God will provide again. We just know he will. Our home study is complete and we are starting our Dossier. Your family is in my prayers so that you can finally bring Emily Margaret home to her forever family.
God Bless,
Deanna
