Finger Prints

Even though we had to reschedule our first home study visit,
I couldn't let today pass without feeling like we were making some progress on the adoption front.
So wanna know what we did??
We busted a trip to the police station for finger printing.
Of course I took along the camera so we could properly document our adventure.
I mean really, this was a blog-able moment! :)

The officer that did the prints was super nice.
Especially considering that we had to have 4 sets made, each.

Here's the up close and personal.
Would finger prints for adoption be the equivalent of a positive sign on a pregnancy test??
Hhhmmm... ;>

No, your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.
Each card has three rows of prints.
That made time for lots of interesting conversation!

When we made it home I told Andy I wanted a picture of us holding the prints and smiling.
You know, like a victory shot.
Here's his idea of a picture with his prints.
I promise this man has no criminal record!

Finally, here we are together.

We love you Emily Margaret, wherever you are.
I can't wait to hold you in my arms and share all these stories with you.
One thing's for sure, you're gonna have one heck of baby book!
God's blessings on your day friends, Sarah :D

i had to laugh about finger printing being a positive on a pregnancy test. That's just too funny. I'd never thought of that comparison. It's so exciting seeing you guys go through these steps! I can't wait to follow you!

Thank you! Please tell Andy thank you so much for the kind offer! You have a sweet husband, Mrs. Sarah Hinson!
Even through i complain about DHR being very unresponsive, I totally understand that those social workers are BUSY. So while it annoys me, i know that's just how it is. Plus we have a history with DHR that isn't very... we ended things on a bad note. So i don't expect them to want us. It's sad, but i've accepted it. We're hoping to persue adoption through Lifeline instead. Please keep us in your prayers. We don't know if our issues from the past will hinder our chances to adopt.
And Thank Andy for us again! The thought that he would do that just warms my heart!

Thanks for your encouraging remarks on our potential move.

It's good to remember that ALL of our lives (even these types of things) are in God's hands.
